Speech therapy is provided for children who experience difficulties in communication. Their difficulties may be articulation, fluency, and resonance, among others. To understand their condition better, our therapists conduct an evaluation of the child’s speech and language abilities and determine what needs to be focused on during sessions.
In each session, we incorporate development with fun activities for the children. Some techniques we use are description activities that may include pictures and other objects, reading, and articulation exercises where they follow the therapist in producing consonant and vowel sounds.
Along with speech and language, our speech therapists can also provide swallowing therapy. To address this, they will be provided with jaw, lip, and tongue exercises to strengthen muscles and bones that are used in drinking, eating, and swallowing soft and hard food items.
